Wellcome to our breeding centre. We wish you enjoy with our web site. Our speciality is the White Gyr falcon. The lineage of our gyrs comes from Greenland, Iceland, Siberia and Canada.

Selection Criteria: Hunting skills, phisical skills, healthy and phisical features.

 

HUNTING SKILLS

For breeding we select gyrs after they have hunted for two years.

The medieval kings were so attracted to this great falcons that they paid for very expensive expeditions to the Artic to look for the "white giant". They considered the best for all kind of hunting. Specially for the "Houtvolee".

WAITING-ON FLIGHTS

The gyr is the best for this modality because his great skills to ascend and his strengh descend. Nowadays the gyrs are used to hunt all kind of ducks, partridges, pheasants, sage grousers. They are so intelligent that they are able to understand his hunting modality with only training with ten or fifteen pigeons they will get great height ascending in "Z".

PURSUIT FLIGHTS

Gyrs are faster than other falcons and are able to maintain it. Nowadays are very used for hunting hubaras

 

PHISICAL SKILLS

 

 

The gyr is the biggest. He lives in the North of Europe, Asia and America, in faces like Canada, Iceland, Norway and Siberia.
The gyr is the strongest falcon and it has the best hunting skills because it is adapted to the Artic Winter with ugly weather conditions, strong winds, very little light hours and very little preys.

 

PSICOLOGYCAL SKILLS

The young falcons have to pass a mental test with this criteria:

  1. No shies.
  2. No aggressive with men..
  3. No imprinted (except if you demand it)..

HEALTHY AND PHISICAL FEATURES

Our gyrs are adapted to high temperatures and the Mediterranean Common bacterias. They have perfect conditions of health and plumage. Veterinarian certificate.
